The Cub Scout program is divided by grade in school, not by age. The following table will tell you what level of Cub Scouting your son will be involved in. Grade in School Cub Scout Rank 1st Grade Tiger Cub
2nd Grade Wolf 3rd Grade Bear 4th Grade Webelos 1 5th Grade Webelos 2
Fees include the registration fee for the Boy Scouts of America, a subscription to Boy’s Life, advancement belt loops, totems, awards, pins, and your Pinewood Derby kit. The only item you need to purchase is the Tiger Cub Uniform T-Shirt and the book that can be purchased at the Scout shop (located on Drake Avenue). Wolf, Bear and Webelos are also divided into dens of approximately 8 boys. There is one den meeting a month supervised by multiple den leaders. There is also one pack meeting a month that can be attended by the entire family. Many dens also go on field trips either during the normal den meeting time or at another time as scheduling requires. The Pack will also go on several outings throughout the year. After we have received all new applications, it may become necessary to form new dens. If this is required, some new parents will be called upon to take Den Leader and Assistant Leader positions. It is the policy of the Boy Scouts of America that each den be lead by a minimum of 2 registered, trained leaders. If we cannot find 2 parents to take these positions, the den will have to be put on hold until we can accomplish that. If you have any further questions, please let me know and I will do my best to answer them. We look forward to having your son join in the fun with our pack. Yours in Scouting Ken Dunn - Cub Master, Pack 357
